QCHR January Notes

Mallard Creek's Amber Neely commits to North Carolina Central.  Dorman's Kiki Cooper commits to App State.  West Rowan junior Shay Steele verbals to Gardner-Webb.  Whitney Bunn Scores her 1000th point.  Kristen Gaffney scores her 2000th point.  Thomasville Prep beats Oak Hill Academy and Providence Day twice.  Spring Valley HS loses three games over the Chrismas break by a combined 10 points to three teams all ranked in the top 10 in the nation.  Phillip O Berry repeats as Champions of the Hardwood Classic.  Myers Park HS jumps to the top of most NC state rankings going undefeated over the Christmas  break .  Bandys HS continues to fight for respect also standing undefeated in 2011.  Weddington freshman Stephanie Watts drops 37 points in a game, averages 18pts, 5as, and 7rb a game. Carolina Prep's Jessi Edmonds commits to Liberty University.  Carolina Day also stands undefeated.  Providence Day's Dacia Thompson commits to Queens College.  Thomasville Prep's JAtzmine Johnson commits to High Point University.
